In Morarano (Alakamisy Fenoarivo), Sekoly Maitso has been welcoming children from families who often live in hard conditions for more than thirty years. We went to meet them to hand over school supplies: notebooks, pens, rulers and other materials that pupils need every day. The visit was made possible by the Hope and Faith Association, which put us in touch with the school and which we warmly thank. We chose to support a school that has never waited to be rescued in order to keep going. It has stood for over three decades thanks to the determination of the people who believe in it, and it felt right to lend a practical hand where the need is real.

Sekoly Maitso was founded by Mamy Yvonne Adeline Rasoanasolo. After settling in the area, she took up farming. When her crops were destroyed, she began to wonder how she could change things around her for good, and decided to invest in the education of the local children. Today, the school runs on very limited means: little infrastructure, no electricity, poorly paid teachers, too few materials, and pupils facing severe hardship. Yet, according to the school, its pupils achieve a 100% pass rate in the official exams every year. We report that figure as it was given to us, and it says a great deal about what a school can achieve through the will of its staff.
This donation is part of GetHumanCall's CSR programme, whose main focus is promoting the right to education. It follows our donations to EPP Antandrokomby and the renovation of EPP Anosizato. We want our actions to be responsible and human, and to answer real, practical needs. During the visit, Andy Fauvin, who represented us, encouraged the children to keep learning, to believe in their plans and, one day, to use what they know to help their own community grow in turn. Because behind every notebook we hand out, there may be a story still waiting to be written.
